Fun Times With Family

This last weekend was a fun filled one! Gma and Gpa Mergenthaler flew down from Washington to spend some time with us. Our town had a nice little easter egg hunt that we all went to and the boys had a great time. Carter just wanted to take the eggs out of his basket and not put them in. Silly Baby :) The Easter bunny came too. Although Tyler was a little scared of him. We loved spending time with Gma and Papa (as Ty calls him). We played games, did puzzles, watched movies, shopping, out to lunch, and much more fun things!
Since Carter will be turning 1 years old next month (CRAZY, I know I can't believe it either). He got to open his present from Gma and Gpa. He got a Tonka truck that he can sit on and ride or push and walk, which he loves best. He is walking a lot as long as he is pushing something around the house. So we think that he is pretty close to walking on his own. We also went out for ice cream. It was his first time having something sweet. His first bite he spit it out and made a funny face. I think that it was just to cold for him and he didn't know what to do. Then he slowly started to eat more of the ice cream. I have never been a big fan of ice cream so maybe he will be like his mommy. Daddy and Tyler on the other hand love ice cream and could eat it all day.
We enjoyed our weekend with family and will miss them. We love you Gma and Gpa Mergenthaler.

The Blessings of Primary

This week we went to the temple as a Primary Presidency with our husbands. Every year our stake does a session with all the Primary Presidencies. We all bring names of children in our ward that need a little extra help and prayers. They put them on the prayer roll and it is such a neat experience.
It has been a long week with Matt out of town and working over time, so it was nice to have him come home and be able to go with me. He even missed a basketball game that night. If you know Matt that is a big thing! It was a beautiful day and I enjoyed going with my presidency. We are such good friends and get along great. That just makes it even more fun to work with people you like.
We loved going to temple and praying for the primary children.

Walking Buddies

My friend Natalia and I go walking everyday. There is always something about getting out of the house and getting some fresh air that just makes the day better. We enjoy the exercise too. Carter and her little boy Preston are only 2 1/2 weeks apart. So they are pretty close in age. It is so cute to watch them interact and play with each other.
It is nice to have a friend to go walking with and talk. There are days when we need another adult to talk too! If you know what I mean. Luckily the weather has been nice for us to be able to go out. The boys love being outside and I wanted to get some good pictures of them. They didn't seem to want the pictures so this is what I got. I think that they are still cute though. :)
