Our little CLIMBER!

This last week Tyler taught Carter to climb the stairs. When we catch him going up the stairs and we tell him "No, No, baby" He just laughs and goes faster. I was doing laundry one day and I heard the boys both laughing hysterically so I went to see what was going on. Tyler was at the top of the stairs telling Carter "Come on baby you can do it."
I got out my gate and it doesn't work with our stairs. So now I have to watch him like a hawk. It is so fun to watch him go up. When we follow him up he thinks it is a game and gets so excited. We have been teaching him how to go down the stairs. Today he finally got the hang of it. That is his new thing that he loves to do all day. He is 9 1/2 months old and has two bottom teeth and 4 on top. He loves to be with other kids and is a really happy baby. We love you Carter and can't believe how fast you are growing up.

Going up the stairs and bringing a snack for later.

He made it half way and decided to take a break before he does the next set of stairs.

Too Young to have a Girlfriend?

Layney & Tyler

What age is too young to have a girlfriend? Tyler seems to have a little crush on Layney. Layney is our neighbor and friend from church. Tyler is in a play group with 3 other kids on Friday. Once a month we have it at our house. The rest of the Fridays Mommy gets to go and do what she wants. I love it and so does Tyler.
Tyler has been a little attached to his friend Layney. He is always asking to play with her. Whether it is at our house or hers. When they are together they are stuck at the hip. It is so cute to watch them play house or cars, etc.
About a month ago we were eating dinner when Tyler told us that he was going to KISS Layney and get married at church. Matt and I about choked on our food. How does a 3 year old think of those things?
I was talking to Layney's mom about it and she said that the girls fight over who gets to sit next to the "Prince" (Tyler) at lunch. That she is always asking to play with Ty too. Crazy, I didn't think that I would have to deal with this kind of stuff until he was at least a Teenager. I was also telling my mom about it and she just laughed! Then she said you were the same way, we always found you under the table holding a boys hand in Nursery!

Precious Moments

Tonight for FHE Tyler wanted to sing " I am a Child of God". We started to sing and I noticed that he knew most of the words. So I stopped singing and so did Matt. He sang the whole song pretty much by himself. It was so sweet to hear his little voice, my heart melted. :) He went into the big primary this week for the first time. He is now a Sunbeam! He loves it and has seemed to understand more of what he is learning. He came home yesterday and told us that he was a child of God and so were we. He was really excited about it.
It is so fun as a parent to watch your children grow. It is one thing to teach your children and hope that they are listening but to have them tell you things or sing a song by themselves is priceless. My little boy is growing up :) They really are paying attention.
