Muffins with Mom

A couple of weeks ago Tyler and I went to Muffins with Mom at the school. He was pretty excited to go to breakfast with me. This year they actually gave us big muffins! We also got some fruit and chocolate milk. We sat by some of his friends and played tick tact toe on the table. Afterwards he took me outside to show me where he plays for recess. He is really into to sports right now. He plays basketball, football and what he calls Jackpot (kicking the soccer ball up in the air or something!). He is all boy! We enjoyed our muffins and just spending one on one time together. I hope to do it with all of my boys someday. 

Grandparents Luncheon

One thing that I really like about Tyler's school is that it is very family oriented. They are always doing fun things with the kids whether it is with Mom or Dad, Grandparents, friends, etc. A couple of weeks ago there was a Grandparents luncheon. Tyler asked if both of his Grandparents could come with him. We told him that Grandma and Grandpa Mergenthaler would love to come but they were a little too far away. So we called Grandma Carr and she was excited to come and join him. I took them to Tyler's class before hand so that they could go and see his class and teacher. Then they walked over to the cafeteria and had a nice lunch. 

After lunch they went out to recess and watched Tyler play football with his friends. He has been getting into football a lot lately. That is all he wants to do all day is throw the football around. Matt thinks it is because of the Super Bowl! 

Tyler loved his lunch and enjoyed having Grandma and Grandpa Carr come to see him. Maybe next time Grandma and Grandpa Mergenthaler can join him!
