For Christmas I got Matt a Jimmer jersey and tickets to the Sacramento Kings basketball game. As long as I have known Matt he has been a big fan of the Kings. Now that Jimmer Fredette plays for them he is even more interested in them (If that is possible). Jimmer is a player from BYU for those of you who don't know who he is. I got this deal where we got a hot dog, popcorn and a drink with our ticket. When they handed us our stuff it was bigger then I expected. I thought that we would get a small little paper bag of popcorn and a normal drink. We got a huge reusable Sacramento Kings cup and a extra large tub of popcorn each. Matt ate all of his before the game was over and we came home with my tub still full! The hot dogs were pretty big too. I was glad that we hadn't eaten dinner yet. We also came home with two little hand towels that had the Sacramento Kings logo on it. The boys loved all the things we brought home to them.
It was fun being there in the atmosphere. We had good seats and enjoyed all the stuff that was going on during the game. Jimmer didn't play until the last two minutes of the 3rd quarter. When he came out onto the court the crowd went wild. It was crazy, they didn't do that for anyone else. Matt was enjoying the game but once Jimmer was on the court he was a different person. Jimmer didn't play too much but I was glad that he finally did. I wanted Matt to be able to see him. He loved every minute of it.
We went into overtime 101-101 and the last 5 min. were awful. I couldn't watch most of it. We lost 112-117. It was bad. I was still glad that I got to go and see the game and Jimmer. I was glad that I could make Matt smile. He was just floating around the gym. You can kind of tell if you look closely at his smile in these pictures! I am thankful for my mom watching my boys and a good friend back in Fresno watching Tyler because he had school. We had a wonderful time and now Matt wants to go back and take the boys with us.
