Swim Class

I got Carter into swim class this year. He is not a fan of water at all but I wanted him to know how to swim for safety reasons.Tyler is our little fish in the water and loves it. Carter doesn't have to be like that but I wanted him to be okay with the water.
1st Day:
He drank lots of pool water and kept burping. He was so nervous he didn't even make a sound. He wouldn't even let go of his teacher when it was time to go. He was clinging to her!
2nd Day:
He told me early in the day that he did not want to be a big boy and wanted to be little forever.  When we pulled into the parking lot he screamed and cried and kept trying to run back to the car.
3rd Day:
When we got out of the car he screamed "I don't want to be a big boy" and started running down and out of the parking lot.  Once he was in the pool he was fine and did AWESOME.
4th-10th Day:
WONDERFUL! He never gave me anymore trouble after the 3rd lesson. He learned how to swim to his teacher, float on his back, jump of the side, and not be afraid of the water. He loved going on the little duck for a ride and then swimming to his teacher McKenzie (We told him that his cousin was also named McKenzie and he liked her even more). She was really great with him, we are glad he started to have fun with her. He enjoyed the diving board and slide. It was fun to watch him start to enjoy the water. He received a medal and blue ribbon for finishing his swim classes. He may never love the water like Ty but he knows what to do when in the water and it makes us feel more comfortable. It was a fun experience for the whole family.
